This illustration is for the article, 'Loggerheads'. It's about this guy who has a fascination with turtles. He recalls his childhood in which he tries to hide his homosexuality from those around him. He and his best friend (who he secretly loves) would often catch these loggerheads just to watch the little critters interact. The turtles are a metaphor for hiding in a shell, as the narrator feels he has to do. So, my piece is about a conspicuously gay turtle trying to hide his true colors (pun intended). I think the pink turtle is fun!
